My husband left me years ago when his mistress became pregnant, and I raised our two kids alone. I told her my refusal wasn’t about the child—it was about boundaries that protect me and my kids. She listened, validated my feelings, and simply asked for clearer, more respectful communication in the future.
When we ended the call, I felt lighter. Nothing dramatic changed, but for once, someone approached me with compassion. It reminded me that healing doesn’t require reopening old wounds—just firm boundaries and honest dialogue.
