I found a letter under my mom’s pillow… and it changed everything.
My mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. It was sudden, and I was heartbroken. As her only child, I had been by her side through it all — hospital visits, meds, late-night calls.
A few days after the funeral, I was helping clean her room when I found an envelope tucked under her pillow. My name was on it.
