At 22, I landed my first office job working for Lisa, a mentor who believed in me from day one. We were the only two employees, and I loved every minute of the job—until her husband, Mark, started visiting the office.
At first, he seemed friendly. Then came a Facebook friend request, compliments, personal questions, and messages telling me not to mention them to Lisa. I never replied, but he kept showing up whenever she was away. I saved screenshots of every message, terrified that speaking up would cost me the job I loved.

Then she handed Mark divorce papers.
