It was a quiet Friday evening, and the kids had finally fallen asleep. The house was peaceful — the kind of rare silence every married couple treasures.
From the bedroom doorway, Dan appeared with a mischievous grin on his face and a shiny little box in his hand.
He held it up like it was a trophy.
“Olympic condoms!” he declared proudly. “They just arrived today. Gold, Silver, and Bronze. I think I’ll wear gold tonight.”
Emma looked up from her book, raised an eyebrow, and said without missing a beat:
“Why not wear silver and come second for a change?”
Dan blinked.
“…”
Emma smirked, turned a page, and added,
“Or bronze, if you’re feeling realistic.”
Dan stood frozen, trying to come up with a comeback — but all he could do was laugh.
“Well,” he finally said, “maybe I’ll wear all three and go for the triple threat.”
They both cracked up. The mood was already better than gold.
